i [heart] sun

this is an account of events that took place yesterday - tuesday june 21st:

this morning, i took a trip down to erin mills towne centre. a pretty good mall, one i frequented last summer to engage in a little window shopping. this time however, i had some bling, so shopping was feasible. i went into hmv hoping to find something by dispatch, but came up empty handed. nonetheless i decided to browse the rest of the store, to see what was out there. i came upon a display that boasted cd's for $9.99. i figured i'd take a look and see, but thinking they'd probably be cd's that were old, or ones people didn't really want to buy. how wrong was i? i walked up to the rack, and there, staring me in the face were alicia keys and john legend. for 9.99 each. $9.99! so, i purchased them, i simply had to!

______________

i had saved that post as a draft, meaning to come back and post it yesterday, but then i had to go to work and just forgot about it. hence the posting of it today. work yesterday was...interesting. i was working with this dude who didn't really do much, he talked on the phone a bit, hung out with his girlfriend, and sometimes served customers and did dishes. i did everything else.

major event for today, my day off: going to a JAYS GAME! whoooooo hooo
i have not been in ages, and thought it would be fun to go. we're gonna be sitting up in the nosebleeds, ie the 500 section, but it will be good times nonetheless.

i'll fill y'all in on the details later.

i'm out.

hello hello hellooooooooo.

what's UP people?! i have not written in here in a.g.e.s. sorry. but i am guessing that because i haven't written in so long no one has really checked in, which is fine, cuz i failed to provide anything new and interesting to read :) but i am back and i'll try to be more consistent.

ah yes - i too must post about the inability of the queen's admin to post the timetable at the scheduled time. this now gives us less than a week to plan our upcoming academic year. what is up with that. not cool, queen's. not cool.

this summer has proved to be enjoyable thus far. i'm surprised that it's june 20th already - time is just FLYING. before i know it, i'll be down in trinidad then back in kingston getting ready for school. but let's not think about that for a little while yet.

i would LOVE To go to zamar this weekend, but i don't think i will be going. unless i somehow get a drive to york and back home to inverhouse before thursday. i don't see it happening. :( it was SO GOOD last time. for now i'll just have to live off of the memories of that night.

OH - this past wknd jas, bren, shanghe and i went down to the harbourfront centre for the 'barbados on the water' festival. i ran into treens and uncle trevor, so we all sat together and watched the israel lovell foundation's performance. it was an hour and a half of dancing and this AMAZING drumming ensemble. treens and i were sitting in the audience watching, when i felt treens grab my arm 'abby - look! corey!!' a friend of ours was performing on stage! we had no idea he was going to be there. we looked him up after the performance and said hello. i love surprises like those.

anyways, that was prob the highlight of my weekend. now, let's see about the highlight of the week!
